Behold, I have created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges the weapons of destruction. I have created the waster to destroy. Isaiah 54:16
Mine too, Thunder! Sorry for the lull in the news of late. July seems like a long time away. I'm hoping to have some ARC's by the end of March/beginning of April and will probably be giving one away here. Also, at some point before July, I'm sure there will be some sample chapters up at Solaris. I'll keep readers here in the loop as things develop. And, I've started work on the third Dragon Age book, and will soon be posting weekly progress updates like I did when I was writing Dragonforge. Stay tuned!
Cleanminded, it's slated for release in July in both the US and the UK. Four months to go! In the meantime, for those of you looking to whet your dragon appetites, check out the dragon novels of E.E. Knight. They rock!
My novel Bitterwood, was released in July, 2007 by Solaris Books. The book has been described as "a futuristic Robin Hood where dragons are the ruling class." It's the story of Bant Bitterwood as he's reaching the end of his legendary career as a dragon-slayer. If you enjoy fantasy novels with lots of battles where men fight monsters with nothing but muscles, nerve, and wits (and, okay, bows and arrows), then you're going to be in for a treat. My personal twist on the genre, though, is that the dragons aren't generic, evil monsters. They are fully intelligent, social creatures who view Bitterwood as the greatest villian alive and band together to wipe out his threat once and for all. The dragons are as capable of love, hope, anger, and despair as the human cast. Is the world big enough for both humans and dragons to share? No, of course not. Let the battle commence!
I'm going to limit this blog to Bitterwood news, such as upcoming booksignings and updates on the progress of the second book from the Dragon Age, Dragon Forge. If you want to read more wide ranging posts, check out my other blog at "whateverville."

Wow. Another incredible cover!
It is, isn't it? Michael Komarck is definitely owed a beer or two or three should I ever meet him at a con. Fantastic stuff.
Pretty
Much of Pet's motivation has suddenly become abundantly clear.
Mr. Cavin, I just laughed until my face hurt.
